Above is an image of the framework that I work from when conceptualizing health and wellness. They are depicted in this pattern, because each one intersects with all of the others in different forms and combinations similar to how they intersect in our lives. Nutrition affects exercise and exercise affects nutrition, both of which can in turn affect sleep. Sleep is influential on mental health and how we deal with stress, which is then influential on our physical activity, and so on and so forth. When working with someone, I try and look at the whole picture of the person, not just one of the segments
